Conventions, Galas and Exhibitions at Sri Golden Meadows: A Planner's Guide

Not every day at Sri Golden Meadows is a wedding. Some are company galas, association meets, product exhibitions, or family functions that have outgrown a hotel banquet room. For those days the main space is the Elysian Grand (AC Banquet Hall): an air-conditioned hall of over 3,000 sq ft for up to 500 guests (floating), which our venue listing names for corporate conferences and exhibitions as well as weddings. It sits on the same Narsingi estate as the lawns and the film sets, at 5-106/1, Green Valley Welfare Society, Manchirevula, Gandipet, about 1 km from Narsingi Junction.

This guide is for the person who has to book the room and explain it to a finance team: what the day suits, what it doesn't, and what to send the venue before you print badges.

What the hall is for

A seated programme with a stage, a brand wall and a lunch. An exhibition that needs floor space rather than a mandap. A gala that can't risk an open lawn at noon in May. Elysian Grand has premium central air conditioning, an elevated stage, sound-engineered acoustics, luxury green rooms for speakers or performers, and custom ambient LED lighting panels. A wedding is built around rituals; a convention day is built around a programme that has to stay indoors, on schedule and presentable to people who did not come for a ceremony.

Who should book it

Corporate teams, associations and families whose format needs an indoor, air-conditioned room. Planners who need climate control as a feature, not a hope. Teams who can share a run of show, a power list and a load-in time. A company from the Financial District or Kokapet is about 15 minutes away, and Gachibowli is about 20.

When another space on the estate fits better

A 40-person board dinner doesn't need a 500-guest hall. Celebration Cove (Outdoor Venue) is listed for corporate luncheons and board meetings for up to 200 guests, and the Rooftop Banquet Hall suits an informal team dinner. A film unit that needs a police station or an office interior should look at our film studios rather than staging a fake office in the gala hall. And if the evening is an outdoor awards dinner, Serenity Skies (Outdoor Lawn) has an open-air stage, buffet counters and high-capacity electrical panels.

The day, from load-in to lights out

Morning is trucks, branding and a sound check. Afternoon is the programme. Evening is dinner and departure before the car park turns into a queue. Give us the vendor list the day before: caterer, AV, photographer and security. Ask where food service enters, where VIPs park and which door they use. The estate has a dedicated dining arena and food court, which helps keep lunch away from the keynote aisle.

• A small meeting will feel lost in a hall built for a gala.

A programme that survives the room

Write the day in blocks: load-in, sound check, registration, session one, lunch, session two, dinner, departure. Give each block a space and a person in charge. A good hall can still let you down if lunch is served across the only aisle during the awards. Branding, LED walls and a celebrity host are not part of a venue booking, so put them in the budget you show your director.

Send your electrician's load list before you truck equipment in from another city, and test the microphone you will actually use. Delegates flying in should allow about 25 minutes from the airport via the ORR. Put the map pin in the invitation: the venue is on the western side of Hyderabad, not in the centre.
